We strongly recommend microchipping your pets. Sadly pets do sometimes go missing and being microchipped greatly improves the chances of them being reunited with their families.

The microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is inserted under the skin.  Each microchip has a unique identification number that can be scanned at any vet clinic or shelter.  When combined with registration on the New Zealand Companion Animal Register this enables lost pets to quickly be reunited with their family.
